About US image
Founded in 2017, Cuddle cat Rescue is a private 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding new homes for cats including those that are victims of cruelty, abuse, injury and illness.  We are a no time limit shelter. We keep all cats until they find homes and do not euthanize for space..

Our Mission We value companion animals, recognize their contributions to people’s lives and promote their humane treatment. We educate our community about humane pet care, and the importance of spay/neuter.

All of the cats that come into Cuddle Cat Rescue receive a health examination, receive age appropriate vaccines, are tested for Feline Leukimia, are treated for parasites and are spayed/neutered before going to their new forever homes.

Do we take cats that need re-homing? Yes.

There are many heart breaking reasons why an owner may need to re-home their pet and CCR is there to help. But our main focus is on stray, abandoned cats/kittens who have no one to care for them. They take priority.

How is your organization funded?

We are 100% donor funded through individual donations, grants, sponsorships, and donated goods, eg. food and litter. There are a variety of ways to give including Facebook, Venmo, Cash app, PayPal, Give Lively, as well as cash , checks and donation jars placed at businesses in and around Hannibal, Mo. You can donate goods through our online wish lists at Chewy, Amazon Smile, and Walmart.

I live out of state. Can I adopt? Yes.

We have adopted out of state but it is rare. The interview process may take a bit longer to insure the cat is going to a safe and permanent home.

I'm only 14, can I still volunteer?

We require our volunteers to be at least 16 to work at the rescue. Under 16 can only socialize the cats under parental supervision.

Do you ever euthanize?

Yes, but only if the cat is sick or injured beyond saving or where euthanasia would be a more humane outcome for the cat.

How old do I have to be to adopt?

18 years old.
