Cuddle Cat Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located at 2830 Market Street in Hannibal, MO.
We save the lives of unwanted and abandoned cats and find them new homes. Our mission is to help those that would otherwise be euthanized due to injury, illness or unsocial ability.

Cuddle Cat Rescue is funded entirely by monetary donations, as well as donated food and supplies.
Please consider becoming a shelter volunteer or foster family to help a cat or kitten in need!

ABOUT US image
Founded in 2017, Cuddle Cat Rescue is a private, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding new homes for cats, including victims of cruelty, abuse, injury, and illness. We keep all cats until they find homes and do not euthanize for space.

Our Mission: We value companion animals, recognize their contributions to people’s lives, and promote their humane treatment. We also educate our community about humane pet care and the importance of spay/neuter programs.

All cats that come into Cuddle Cat Rescue receive a health examination, receive age-appropriate vaccines, are treated for parasites, and are spayed or neutered before going to their new forever homes.

FOSTERING
Foster Parents provide a temporary, caring environment in the privacy of their home for sick, injured, newborn, or otherwise needful animals. The goal is to return the animal to the shelter as a healthy and adoptable companion. It is the foster parent's responsibility to feed, groom, socialize, house train, and medicate animals while in their home environment. It is also important to ensure the animal’s safety and to respond to his/her immediate needs.

Foster animals must be isolated from any pets, and resident animals must be current on all vaccinations. The Foster Care Coordinator should be regularly updated on the animal(s) health, temperament, and behavior. It is the foster parent's responsibility to bring the animal to the shelter for any necessary treatments, vaccines and/or to return the animal at the proper time. CCR provides all necesary supplies. However, you may purchase supplies as a donation to help with funding.

If you are interested, stop into the rescue for a paper application or complete one online here: https://forms.office.com/r/Eqt08pVXU8

Fostering is a great way to give back and save lives at the same time!
We understand there are situations where it becomes impossible for a family to keep their pet or a stray cat is found. Cuddle Cat Rescue may be able to accept pets or strays as surrenders under the following criteria:

-The owner's home address must be within 40 miles of the rescue;
-If the owner's home address is outside Missouri, the Department of Agriculture requires us to collect a health certificate from a vet before transfer;
-The owner must complete a surrender form at the rescue when dropping off the animal. If the animal is found as a stray, the person bringing it in must complete this form.

A SURRENDER FEE IS ASSESSED BEFORE INTAKE BASED ON IF THE ANIMAL IS FIXED OR UP TO DATE ON THEIR VACCINATIONS.

WE CANNOT INTAKE ANY INJURED OR FERAL ANIMALS. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL CONTROL FOR ASSISTANCE WITH EITHER CASE.

If you are inquiring about surrendering a pet, please complete this form. Once it has been reviewed, you will be contacted by a staff member who will determine if we have the space to accept the pet. We recommend reaching out to other rescues as well since space can be limited.

Name a Shelter Rescue

Many cats and kittens come to the rescue without a name, which is why we need your help! For $25, you can add a name to our list of possibilities. We will credit you on Facebook once it is assigned. If you are interested in sponsoring that cat as well, it is only an extra $25. This covers their spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations or any medical costs during their stay.
